OUR STORY

Neta was created in 2018 combining advocacy, digital marketing, and creative strategy to build an innovative style of social-justice focused work for Neta’s partners.

Neta is a woman, Latinx, and LGBTQ owned digital agency. When partnering with brands and organizations, Neta becomes an extension of the team, bringing passion, creative solutions, and strategic experience to the table.

Today, Neta is proud to work with a range of organizations working to make the world a better place for this generation and the next.

About our name: “la neta” is a Mexican slang term that can mean “the nature of things” or something that is considered a universal truth. It is used similarly (although more often) to how the word “legit” is used in English.

AMBAR JANUEL LÓPEZ (she/ella)

Ambar is a queer Mexican American strategist and creative focused on utilizing community power to advance social justice issues. Ambar is passionate about creative storytelling in the advocacy space and empowering leaders and organizations to build powerful brands and campaigns.

Living between a rural town in Vermont and CDMX, Ambar’s mother was an immigrant raising four kids who often struggled to make ends meet in this country. She began her first consulting firm nearly ten years ago, where they developed creative marketing campaigns for startups in Los Angeles. During this work, she became dedicated to social justice and consulting for nonprofits. In 2018, Ambar launched Neta to build a space for similar-minded team members with social justice, electoral, creative, and marketing experience who are dedicated to providing organizations with important creative, marketing, and advocacy capacity and resources.

Ambar is proud to be an art school dropout who has dedicated her career to continuous learning and advancing her professional expertise.
